New Advanced Course Format for 2007

We are looking forward to three advanced courses scheduled for 2007. The response to our advanced courses in 2006 was enthusiastic, but many asked for another day and more time to discuss and share neurofeedback experiences. This year the advanced courses will be three days instead of two, beginning Thursday noon and ending Sunday noon. That gives people more flexibility with travel arrangements. It also gives us an opportunity to add on some optional workshops and individual support time before and after the formal program.
We will begin with a leisurely buffet lunch on Thursday, which gives people a chance to assemble and meet before the program begins. Breakfasts and lunches are included this year, which should bring people together and provide time for informal discussions. Siegfried will present Thursday afternoon, updating the theoretical model, folding in our new findings, providing an integrating perspective, and projecting to our near-term future. On Friday Sue will present updates on assessment in the morning and training in the afternoon.
Then, on Saturday morning, we will have “What’s New”section. We are inviting presentations by attendees on new and interesting developments in their own work. This might be new ways of structuring the neurofeedback work and incorporating complementary methods. It might be new neurofeedback approaches, complementary modalities, integrative practice models, practice building, etc. We will also be showing some promising new programs and developments at the EEG Institute. Saturday afternoon will be a New Technology Practicum providing hands-on time with hardware and software. This will include neurofeedback tools as well as other complementary products and programs. We will set up multiple systems so people can cycle around and try out all the different items.
Sunday morning Sue will lead a group discussion on clinical issues. This will be the time to discuss difficult cases and how to improve clinical outcomes. The formal program will end Sunday noon.
Optional free workshops on Thursday morning will include a basic BioExplorer workshop with Kurt and an EEG Expert and QIK workshop with Sue. Sunday afternoon we will be available for individual assistance and advice as needed.
This past year has seen dramatic changes in how we do neurofeedback and in the results we are achieving. We are looking forward to sharing our new techniques and understanding of this powerful tool we all use every day. We are also excited to provide a forum in which neurofeedback clinicians can get together and share experiences and questions.

What to Bring:
Attendees are invited to bring their laptop computers to be loaded with the latest neurofeedback software at the course for trial and evaluation, for tutorial purposes, and to enhance the learning experience in the practicum portion of the course.
We also encourage attendees to bring questions, ideas and success stories to share.

Credits offered:
24 hours (APA / BCIA)
EEG Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. EEG Institute maintains responsibility for the program.
This workshop is accredited by BCIA to provide 24 hours of Category A, Accredited continuing education.
